University of California, Irvine Information and Computer Science Alumni Chapter
Mr. Wong is very active and committed to contributing back to his alum mater and to his community. As a result he was the acting president of the University of California, Irvine Information and Computer Science Alumni Chapter between 2002 to 2004 where he coordinates alumni, college and community events and mentors students that attend the University of California, Irvine.
Organization of Chinese Americans
Mr. Wong is also involved with the Organization of Chinese Americans, an asian civil rights organization. Founded in 1973, OCA is a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans in the United States. OCA aims to embrace the hopes and aspirations of nearly 12 million Asian Pacific Americans in the United States.
Asian Pacific American Legal Center
The Asian Pacific American Legal Center of Southern California (APALC) is the nation’s largest legal organization serving the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities. Founded in 1983, APALC is a unique organization that combines traditional legal services with civil rights advocacy and leadership development.
The mission of APALC is to advocate for civil rights, provide legal services and education and build coalitions to positively influence and impact Asian Pacific Americans and to create a more equitable and harmonious society.
